”Over the moon, baby. I love you over the moon.” These are the sweet words I frequently hear from Mike.
Yesterday’s recap: Mike’s mom, Jean, came by for a visit. She was on her way to her future daughter-in-law’s bachelorette party. For belly dancing. It sounded like a ton of fun but nothing was going to keep me from painting. It is after all my second Heart2Heart session.
Mike came home after more canvassing for GK and I whipped up an amazing pasta dish with fresh tomato, basil and a splash of balsamic vinegar. After a glass of wine, we were warmed up to start our paintings. I loved how carefully he planned his. Mine was a mess of pink and brown when it began. Let’s just say it totally evolved or devolved as the case may be. Mike called his painting, The Green Green Grass. Not a literal title obviously – since his is the first painting pictured above.
I think the comet ended up in the painting after Frank Sinatra’s Fly Me to the Moon came up in my playlist.
Back to today: We had a busy morning of errands. Mike and Andy needed to pick up their tuxes for the wedding. We drove up to Yorkdale. Then to California Sandwiches for a bite to eat. Then finally to Ikea. The couch we wanted was out of stock. BUMMER. But we did pick up some chairs for our dining room table. We now know what colour to stain the table so this is PROGRESS.
Much, much later Mike and I walked down to Film Buff to rent a couple of movies and grab some ice cream. We picked up the Jane Austen Book Club and Darfur Now. Two vastly different films. It’s been an exhausting week and I’m REALLY looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. Night night.
